Meet Dr. Teresa Diaz
My Personal Journey
From personal transformation to medical expertise
I know firsthand what it’s like to feel disconnected from your body.
I grew up in the Bronx, navigating poverty, trauma, and self-abandonment. By my 40s, I found myself at 300 pounds, trapped in cycles of sugar addiction that began with my first diet at age five. I never believed I could be free of it—yet today, I am. No more binging, no more sugar controlling my life.
As an OB/GYN, I witnessed countless women struggling through perimenopause and menopause with symptoms that were brushed off, minimized, or medicated. At the time, I didn’t have the tools to truly help them. It wasn’t until I entered perimenopause myself that I understood the depth of their suffering — the brain fog, mood swings, sleepless nights, and energy crashes. Learning how hormones connect and how to restore balance became not just my personal lifeline, but also my professional calling.
And in 2020, I faced the biggest wake-up call of all: a lung cancer diagnosis. I made the bold decision to turn down chemotherapy and radiation, choosing instead to trust my body’s innate ability to heal. Through food, functional medicine, and fierce commitment to my truth, I came through cancer more determined than ever to help women discover their own power to heal.
Today, I stand here not just as a doctor, but as a woman who has lived through struggle, silence, and sickness—and emerged vibrant, free, and turned on to life. My mission is to guide you to the same transformation: from disconnection to desire, from symptoms to signals, from survival to thriving.

My Approach to Healing
I work with all genders, but my deepest expertise lies in menopause, hormone therapy, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine. My passion is guiding women back to their inner knowing—their truth, their power, and their orgasm.
My path here has been anything but conventional. With a background in psychology, I began to unpack the emotional and psychological roots of lifestyle, weight, and trauma—including my own childhood experiences. Later, facing and surviving lung cancer deepened my commitment to honoring the body’s innate ability to heal.
I bring relatability as much as I bring medical expertise. I am the daughter of a multicultural upbringing, fluent in both English and Spanish. I am also a mother, a skier, and a long-time vegan who lost 140 pounds when I embraced a mindful, plant-based lifestyle.
All of this shapes how I practice medicine today: with compassion, clarity, and conviction that every challenge can be overcome with the right support. Healing isn’t just possible—it’s your birthright.
